WARWICK CASTLE
Warwick Castle is over a thousand years old and is considered the finest medieval fort in England positioned by the side of the River Avon. The castle was built on the orders of William the Conqueror in 1068 as part of a defensive chain of castles established to maintain power in his new territories. The castle has been well maintained and contains various exhibitions and many attractions, from dungeons to the Royal Weekend Party of 1898. Marvel at the grandeur of the State Rooms and Great Hall. Visit the King Maker exhibition, a display related to the War of the Roses and climb some of the magnificent towers to view surrounding countryside. You can check out the armour collected over the centuries; feel the weight of a sword and see just how soldiers lived and died on the battlefield.
You can also take advantage of a TRACKS SPECIAL DEAL for a cheaper group entrance fee into the castle.
