PLANNED ITINERARY

SATURDAY
We depart London at 07:00 and make our way down to Dover where we catch the ferry across to France.  We will cross into Belgium to the capital city of Brussels.  At the Christmas Markets you will find beautifully decorated stalls offering an opportunity to buy regional specialties, beautifully packaged sweets and chocolates, traditional decorations and local crafts.
Brussels is rich in history; the capital of the EC is a sophisticated city with a lively, friendly atmosphere. Stroll around the Grande Palace, one of the most beautiful squares in the world.  The Palace has cafes, bars and the famous Mannekin-Pis statue. Your visit would not be complete without sampling a glass of beer and the world's best chocolates.
You can also visit the EU Centre, and European Parliament, the Atomium built for the World Fair in 1958 and now the symbol of Brussels, also the Royal Palace,   We will stay in Brussels until the early evening and then we will depart for Brugge and our accommodation and your chance to sample the night life of Brugge.

SUNDAY
After breakfast you can explore the city of Brugge known as the   'Venice of the North.   You can stroll around the pedestrianised cobbled streets, and marvel at the magnificently preserved medieval buildings.  As well as all the sights and attractions of Brugge you can also visit the Christmas Stalls, and perhaps try your hand at ice skating?  Take in the view from the top of the Bell Tower or relax and enjoy a cruise around the canals, these are two of the best ways to see this picturesque medieval city.  We depart Brugge late afternoon to return to our ferry and finally London.
